This icebreaker and introduction activity asks students to prompt ChatGPT to find out their spirit animal based on their self-introduction. ChatGPT-based Discussion Board Activities

I started experimenting with integrating ChatGPT-based activities into the discussion board in my (online) Intercultural Communication summer course. These activities are designed to help students learn course concepts while also develop AI literacy.
Montclair State University offers a list of feasible strategies for experimenting with AI to create learning activities and assessments. I plan to try “critical evaluation of AI inputs” in my research methods course, and “assigning social annotation” in my online human communication and technology course this fall.
This resource also includes “Bloom’s Taxonomy Revisited”, a guiding framework for designing AI-enhanced assignments based on Bloom’s Taxonomy.
