Intercultural Training Game Design with ChatGPT, by Gamze Yilmaz

I designed this assignment for my online intercultural communication course, and it can be easily adapted to a different course or modality. I’m experimenting with this over the summer, but scaffolding the assignment in 2-3 iterations over the course of the regular semester would be ideal.

How to Use AI to Create Role-Play Scenarios, by Ethan Mollick and Lilach Mollick

Using a customizable prompt you can create real-life role playing scenarios in any class. AI acts as a mentor and a fellow actor to guide students through the interaction without directly explaining them steps for success. This is an effective tool for skill development and application of course concepts in real life. Note that it generates the best output in ChatGPT-4. Click on the below article and scroll down the article to access the prompt.

You can see the piloted examples on ChatGPT here.

Interactive Learning Module with ChatGPT, adapted by Gamze Yilmaz

I adapted the the role playing scenarios to generate an interactive learning module with AI for my Communication Research Methods course.
